Medicine Room

Florida Department of Health in Manatee County

DOH-Manatee's Medicine Room provides our clinics with the medications they routinely use and issues prescription drugs to clients of certain programs.

Who can use the Medicine Room?

Prescriptions for these individuals are filled by the pharmacist in the State Central Pharmacy and sent to DOH-Manatee in sealed packaging with the client's name on the outside. The Medicine Room issues these filled prescriptions to the client and answers any questions they might have regarding the medication.  Clients are referred to their primary care physician for any problems associated with their medication and/or medical diagnosis.
