Florida Department of Health in Manatee County emergency preparedness program monitors and enhances plans to respond to all types of disasters and public health emergencies. Collaborating with Manatee County Government’s Emergency Management team, the Florida Department of Health, local hospitals and other health, medical, and disaster response organizations, we continuously work towards coordinated planning, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts.
Our emergency preparedness plans were recognized in 2021 by the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) through Project Public Health Ready, the only nationwide evaluation and recognition program for community disaster preparedness programs.
