Public swimming pools and spas are permitted annually and inspected twice a year for safety, water chemistry and sanitation. Pools inspected by Environmental Public Health include those located at:

  • Apartment and condominium complexes
  • Hotels and motels
  • Mobile home/RV parks
  • Recreational facilities

Resurfacing

Public swimming pool or spa resurfacing must be disclosed to the Florida Department of Health in Manatee County for resurfacing surveys and inspections.
