Public swimming pools and spas are permitted annually and inspected twice a year for safety, water chemistry and sanitation. Pools inspected by Environmental Health include those located at:

  • Apartment and condominium complexes
  • Hotels and motels
  • Mobile home/RV parks
  • Recreational facilities

Resurfacing

Public swimming pool or spa resurfacing must be disclosed to DOH-Manatee for resurfacing surveys and inspections.
